What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui: both an art and a science based on the interpretation of the natural world and the study of movement, which enables us to create environments which support our hopes, wishes, dreams, and intentions. In Feng Shui, we connect to the energy of the spaces around us to bring about desired changes in our life. The single factor, which sets Feng Shui apart from other philosophical systems, is that it has the capacity for change built into it.

The practice of Feng Shui offers us the opportunity to achieve health happiness and well being through living in harmony with our immediate environment. It is embraced by people who are aware of the impact their surroundings have on them and fell the need to take action to improve their lives.

Feng Shui Comes From a Long Tradition, Dating Back 4000 Years

Feng Shui uses formulae, which determine the rising and falling energy in a given space. Feng Shui enables us to position ourselves within our environment to our best advantage. As we become more aware of our surroundings, and actively begin to change those factors, we gain a deeper insight into ourselves and our part in the wider picture.

Chi is the life force of all animate things. The goal of Feng Shui is to create environments in which the Chi flows smoothly to achieve mental and physical health. Where the chi flows smoothly, the occupants will be positive and have an easy passage through life. Where the chi is stuck, there is disharmony. Feng Shui opens the passage for Chi flow, balances the forces of Yin -Yang and unlocks positive energy.

This journey begins at the entrance of the house -the mouth of the Chi- and moves in a predetermined way through the home until it reaches its conclusion, By focusing on an aspect of our lives which we want to stimulate or change, we can direct the energies of the universe and make them work for us.
